About

COACH DRE

Meet Andre Chevalier

THE MENTOR

Andre uses basketball as a tool to help young men and women achieve “elite greatness” on the court and off—including his FOUR kids, who have all received D-I scholarships. In 2003, Andre co-founded the Village Nation and helped dramatically turn around learning and achievement at a struggling LA high school. The story was featured on Oprah; more here.

THE COACH

The only coach in history to win back-to-back California State Open Division championships (2018 & 2019), Andre was named The LA Times’ 2018 Coach of the Year “for blending in personalities and getting his high-profile players to produce and sacrifice for the good of the team.”

Meet Andre Chevalier

THE PLAYER

Andre’s willpower overcame partial blindness and two missing fingers on his left hand to play a hall of fame career at D-I California State University Northridge, where he still ranks in CSUN’s all-time Top 10 in 15 statistical categories.

No Excuses.

Coach Dre's

THREE RULES

Expect the Best.

Strive for

Elite Greatness.

Champions perform at a high-level all of the time – on the court and off. They never take a play off.

Michael Jordan was cut from his high school freshman team. Champions use challenges to get stronger, not as excuses to give up.

Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right. Never sell yourself short.

ENGAGEMENTS

Speaking

"I'm a mentor first and a coach second."

"I use basketball as a tool to connect with underdog kids and help them develop into leaders in their communities. My mission is to help them see and achieve their potential outside of sports and entertainment."
